Official Pokemopolis Opening Tournament

Welcome all to the Official Pokemopolis Opening Tournament. As a celebration to the opening of this here forum and an warm welcome to all, I now declare the tournament officially open. This is a 32-person tournament where contestants will battle their contests amid the ruins of the anceint city testing all of their strength against one another. The rules are simple and can be found below.


Rules:

1. Standard Clauses will apply as defined by Smogon University.
2. Standard Tiers will apply as defined by Smogon University.
3. No hacks.


Divisions and Progression:

- The tournament is divided into two divisions; Division A and Division B each of 16 contestants.
- The 16 contestants of each division will be split into 4 groups of 4, where they will compete round robin style for round 1. This means they will batle each person in their group once, earning 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw, and 0 for a loss.
- The highest scorer from each group will advance to the Divisonal Semi-Finals.
- The finalists from each division will compete to become overall champion.


Contestants

Rather than the usual sign-ups, all 32 members of the forum to date have been automatically signed up for the tournament and entered into the bracket below. Instead, should you rather not compete, post here to say so. If someone drops out new members are free to sign up in their stead.

I'm not sure if this is the proper place to put this, but I am only seeing three people in the second-to-right-most bracket, and would like to sign-up if that is indeed an empty spot.

Yea it is. I'll put you in for it. Note as of now you are signed up, but I can't change the bracket until tomorrow.

The first round is round robin style, which as the OP explains, means the four people in that bracket battle each other once and the person who gets the most points advances.

Cool. I've PM'ed my bracket, so it should be running soon.

Since there has been no replies I am going to assume that most of you are in. There are a few people who I am not sure on though and will contact personally so we can get this show on the road.

I might add also that the prizes will be an Alakazam and Gengar both EV'd.

BTW, there is now an opening (Arceus dropped out) so if anyone else wants in, just say so.

Why not try to make the brackets more vertical?
That way it can be seen completely.

I was about to make a better bracket using CSS but it appears that CSS doesn't work on this site 0.o

And I have no idea what the black thing is, it just happens randomly to alot of posts on invision forums. Happened to me on Uuttitan a few times.

And battles can be on any game so as long as both opponents agree to it.
