! A Wild Paradise Has Appeared!

Hello all!

I'm Nick E. Paradise, any form of that will do.

I've been playing Pokemon since red and blue, but have just very recently become interested in the online battling. (More on Shoddy than on wifi) My studies on the subject have caused me to stumble across battlers such as Greene and Painter, which is what brought me here. As a fan of their work and an eager student i hope to be able to hone my skills on their turf.

So, Greene, Painter, if you're out there, consider this my humble request for your help on my path to greatness!

Haha, yeah i do have a bit of a flair for the dramatic.

And i've read through what Greene put up. I'm starting to get a grasp on the EV training and some of the builds, but will need some help bringing it all together in a fully functioning team. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So i guess my first question is where do we go from here? Should i start up a topic in the mechanics section to start working towards being able to build said team?

my firt piece of advice for you is to pick how you want your team to run offensive, stall, semi-stall, bulky offense, rain, sun whatever

Well thank you very much! I'll look over some smogon builds and see if i can't rough out an idea and get back to you.

alright i advise for you to go for an offensive team since they are alot easier to make especially for beginners so then you just have to find something to base it around

I would agree that since you have already read the guide to post some questions on the thread Painter mentioned and try and formualte a rough outline for a team which you can then perfect with the help of the forum members in the RMT section. The next step then is to train the critters and get into a battle.

We may or may not start a ranking system based on win/loss ratio on forum battles, and if we do that would be a good place to find an apt opponent.
